Quilters' Guild AGM, free pattern links

So, to Harrogate in April
Not everything was finished in time.. The quilt on top is called Chop Saw and has safety pins..
Underneath it is White Tiger, which has just returned from the Sitges  Exhibition, where apparently the Modern stuff made a stir
This is Modern Wheels, by Heather Hasthorpe, and was the star of the stand
Heather fell in love with the old Singer machine I took with me.. So did it's eventual owner, and I'm never sorry to see one go to a good home, or to have less to carry home.  New tutorial for the green cushion here
Quilt on the table is Crossing Points - Tutorial for the blocks here and the pattern should be on these pages tomorrow (Friday 1st May)

Harrogating

At Harrogate, in beautiful Yorkshire, for the Quilters' Guild AGM and conference.. Modern Quilt Group is going down well, and a short walk around the town led us to the most fantastic Chinese meal, and these little inspirations.  Above, carved marble on a shop-front
 Pavement..
 Skinny tulips
 Seriously nice upper-shop-windows
and a magnificent Winged Lion

Little and Large

One inch squares
 Sew in rows
 Press
 Arrange
 Sew the rows together

 Before pressing
 And after
Regular Fiskars for scale - note that i haven't sewn down the last two red pieces
This is a Granny Square, (see Heather's Blog for some more) except that I think it may be a great-great-great-great-granny square..

And here's another.. Start with 7-1/2 inch squares (these are from a Sapphire Oakshott fat-eighth pack, plus about 1 metre or so of batik).  It's about 50 inches wide and will make a nice lap-quilt. I've got some nice birdy IKEA for the back in black-white-and-green.

Pattern sooooon (and I've started quilting it, another image as soon as it's done
