Thursday, wind and rain

An astoundingly wet and windy night last night.. One of the lilacs in the garden blew over and demolished the bird-feeders, and the leaves are almost all gone.. Spats of the same all day, interspersed with glorious, intense sunlight against black skies.. All of which I missed with the camera.  So here's an image that captures the colour.  The fern is about 1 inch high in total
