Shadows and sunlight

On the back of a quilt hanging in the workshop, the kite tail makes its mark in daylight
And in the Tesco car-park, this willow is gently turning to yellow as the Autumn slides in
On the other hand, this minor slip-of-the-Photoshop makes for a more exacting colour-change
Control-Alt-I for the curious..

Physiotherapy

A gentle walk in the sunshine - good for the knee
Blackberries to pick - reaching up and down, using the banged-up hands gently, stepping on and off the banks, good for the knee, the hands, the tired back..
And the tastebuds..
A little photography, some sunshine, a light breeze.. Good for the mind..
Now I'm exhausted..

Pain and Suffering

It's soooo hard to ignore that drawer.. Full of meeces, I bet..
Antiques market today.. Really Hard Work, as so many people are not up on my news, and those who are just want to talk about it.. I can only deal with so much sympathy; particularly as, to quote "I aten't dead"

My 15 minutes..

...seems to have become more like an hour..
However, as this blog is firmly titled "Does Not Equal", and one of my "does nots" is a particular distaste for the Press's liking for assigning ages - Mary (147) seems as offensive to me as Mary (nice tits) and statuses to women ("Mother of two"? Really? is that ALL?) in a way that just does not happen if a protagonist is male or famous or perhaps young, I'm about to tell all the media to go away and leave me in peace to heal.

And then I may sulk..

I had to have my bacon cut up for me at breakfast yesterday, which is SO demeaning..

On the other hand, being washed by one's Favourite Man is fine ...

On the other other hand, if you've emailed me or sent a card or just read this and shuddered, THANK YOU for caring.  (I wish I had more hands)  Hey, want to hear the sound of one hand not clapping?

I'm really damned glad to be here, and alive and still breathing.  Even with a fantastically painful knee and an unusable hand and scabs and scrapes and bits of glass all over and no red car, still glad

This morning, in the deli, I looked and saw this wonderful shadow, and my Inner Artist grabbed me by the scruff of the neck and said "hey! camera; take picture..."

Aren't those curves delicious?
Bless you all, and may your luck be ever good..

Last Gasp of the Big Red Car

On the way to Wolterton Hall with Heather, to do the Costume and Textile Fair, i was savagely attacked by a falling oak tree.  The resulting chaos; road closed, 9 hours in A and E,  damaged tendons, and completely written-off car..
And 6 weeks in a cast/splint
Oh, bugger...

Updated Sunday 15th.  Sore but still alive, and frustrated by the cast.. The cat slept on me all night to "look after" me.  I'm not going to be able to work at all well, and all this is going to cost a fortune.. Grrr
On the other hand, my blog stats have been good..

On The Beach, On The Road

Sands End, North Yorkshire, Old rebar in concrete, worn by the wind and tide, and adorned with scraps of cloth and string..
I'm on the road to the Highlands, to drum for a Dance..
