I walked home last night at dusk, in a breathless and sacred silence broken only by the drumming take-off of a partridge.  I saw two tawny owls fly from the oak trees.  Utter perfection.

Came home with a cold..

..and still a bit slow.  Four days of teaching this week, and lots of stuff to prepare for the Harrogate Knitting and Stitching Show at the weekend.. I'm off to Yorkshire tomorrow, so if you are there do come and say hello.  I'll be on the Oakshott Fabrics stand again.. (Hall B)
I can't speak too highly of the Beryl Dean exhibit - the work is astounding.  Sorry, no images of that as it was "No photography", but here's a leaf
